Series Circuit
A series circuit contains one or more electrical loads that are wired into a single path. This type of circuit has only one pathway for current to flow through.
In the circuit shown here, the light bulbs are wired in series. If one bulb burns out, all the other bulbs will go out. This occurs because the broken filament in the burned-out bulb acts as an open switch to stop current flow in the circuit.
