Chapter 13 Video
Shots of nature followed by shots of landfills, smog, etc.
THE DEFENDER (voice over): Sometimes I feel like the world is falling apart. And that all of us are just sitting there, watching it go. Taking everything that’s good about it, and leaving only our trash behind.
THE DEFENDER putting on his costume.
THE DEFENDER (voice over): That’s why I’ve made it my mission to save the world. One recycled can at a time.
THE DEFENDER spikes a can away from trash and is scared off.
THE DEFENDER drops the can from previous clip into recycling bin.
THE DEFENDER (voice over): I will not be stopped.
THE DEFENDER crawls across the floor to replace water bottle.
DEENDER (voice over): I will not be deterred.
THE DEFENDER makes a boy turn off the faucet.
THE DEFENDER (voice over): Forgive them, Mother Earth. They know not what they do.
Kids cleaning out their lockers.
THE DEFENDER (voice over): One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
THE DEFENDER (voice over): Though sometimes it’s really just trash.
THE DEFENDER shuts off the lights in several classrooms, including an occupied one.
STUDENTS IN CLASSROOM: What are you doing? C’mon!
THE DEFENDER turns the lights back on.
STUDENTS IN CLASSROOM: Thank you!
THE DEFENDER turns the lights off again.
STUDENTS IN CLASSROOM: Really?

THE DEFENDER (VO): It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s gotta do it. Though it sure would be nice if everybody did it instead.
